Compensation
I would like to Begin working in CT, USA and to later move to Germany. If your company is able to help, I am willing to concede some other compensation in exchange for assurance that I will be aided in this pursuit when the time comes.
I will not share numbers here because well..: I am no fool.
I am looking for the standard benefits.
I am looking for the better of fair and ordinary pay.
If the software being built is free/libre I am willing to earn less by a small margin in support of that public good. If additionally, the organization is not for profit I am willing to add to that loss in support of that public good. Not for profit organizations building proprietary software will see no such concession.
If restrictions or conditions are a significant detriment to my QOL, I will ask for the exact compensation where the job becomes worth it worth for me. Hence, the outcome is positive in both the case where you still wish to have my help and in the case where you do not.
The following abstract figures combine by addition if applicable. The list should not be considered exhaustive.
- The software is libre --
- The software is libre and not for profit --
- Systems Administration +
- Digital restrictions hinder workflow ++
- Must work primarily on Windows ++++
- Administrate Windows +++
To reiterate: the difference in expected compensation for differences in situation reflect the differences in expected quality of life.
Schedule
In a work environment where I may freely invest work hours in pursuit of more productive future work hours at my own discretion, schedule is no issue.
In a strict work environment: I work on the ordinary schedule four days weekly: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays are mine to schedule. I may freely invest work hours in pursuit of more productive future work hours at my own discretion, and have no obligation to explain my time investments.
Alternatively: I don't work Wednesday's to prevent the usual Thursday-Friday burnout and slowdown, and may choose at my discretion to work hours on Wednesday in pursuit of more productive future work hours
